Denver Zoo

We went to Colorado for the 4th of July and I took the kids to the Denver Zoo. We had a great time and the kids had lots of cousins to play with.

HAPPY EASTER, EVERYONE!!
The kids are showing off what they got for Easter. However, they could not show the biggest present. They got a trampoline with encloser, but there is still too much snow outside to put it up! Too bad there is still snow in the forcast. I hope it rains and melts the snow!

We made Easter Bunny cakes and I let Anissa and Brian decorate their own. They did a pretty good job for their first time. This one is Anissa's and the next picture is Brian's.

Easter Egg Fun!

Here are some pictures of the kids decorating their eggs. We get farm fresh eggs and decided to use a sand art kit for eggs instead of coloring them. We were not sure if the color would take on brown eggs.

They both surprised me by not making a big mess and had a lot of fun.

Jeremy is warming up the little 4-wheeler for the kids. Well, that's his excuse for riding it anyway. He looks so silly that I couldn't resist posting a picture of him!
Anissa and Brian finally got their bikes out of the ice to ride. It was fun to finally enjoy some warm weather!!

Brian loves to play in the dirt, but decided that the mud will do just fine.

Just when we thought spring would be a nice change, it decided to snow today. The pictures above were taken on Sunday, the 22nd and I took the next two today the 25th.

It has snowed even more since I took these. There is a good six inches on the ground now with no signs of stopping. I can't wait to see what this weekend brings! (Ha, Ha, Ha)

Yesterday, Anissa turned 10 years old!! I can't believe how fast she has grown.
We didn't have a big party. We went to the movies and saw Bedtime Stories. Then we came home and ate some banana cake. Her most favorite cake.
Here, Anissa is playing her new DS game, Petz Bunnyz. We all had a great day.

Visiting the cousins

We took a last minute trip to Colorado and stayed with my sister and her two kids. All four cousins had a great time playing together.

Brian is stylin' with his frog socks, grey shorts and red long sleeve shirt with Rowdy keeping watch.

Chance and Morgan pose for a quick picture while Anissa and Brian hide from the camera.

Anissa is telling her cousins how to play online with their new Webkinz. I know my sister just loves me for introducing them to Webkinz!!

Kids being kids!

Anissa and Brian try their spiderman legs up the walls!

Brian learned about jousting in his history lesson so he had to try it out. His stick pony is the jousting stick and the ball is his horse.

Brian and his friend, Cameron, riding in the field in front of our house.

Anissa and her friend, Emma, taking a picture break.

Anissa and Brian finally got one of their rooms clean enough to pull out the train that is suppossed to go around the Christmas tree. The reason it is not around the Christmas Tree is because we have a very curious one year old lab!!

Bear is very curious, but Anissa can teach him to do anything. She is in 4-H obedience, showmanship and agility with him. Below you can see some of his agility training that he thinks he can do anywhere in the house. It's a good thing he is so cute!!

They also love their legos. This is a house that both kids worked on for an entire afternoon without arguing!

Anissa built this and calls it the "Drag Racer"

This is the only picture I could snag of the two goofballs from Christmas. I actually only took it about three days ago. On Christmas Day, they opened their presents so fast I didn't have time to find my camera. Between Santa and the family, Anissa and Brian got everything they wanted!
